On your bike

Bringing a whole new meaning to racing to the pub, The Harvest Home is the start and finish line for the famous Denmead cycle ride - an annual charity bike ride now in its 14th year. More than 150 entrants take part, then head back to the pub for fun, and a well-deserved drink!

Surrounded by history, The Harvest Home sits among the Hampshire woodland that housed US General Eisenhower and his troops in the run up to D-Day. Nearby Creech Wood also housed a prisoner of war camp, some remains of which can still be found in the undergrowth.


Visitors to the pub may be keen to enjoy some of the wonderful woodland walks nearby, or sample local attractions including: Fort Nelson, Sustainability Centre, Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Gunwharf Quay, Spinnakar Tower, Little Woodham and Southsea Castle.
